Keyboard

The Keyboard is an universal standard device of the entering to information, allowing carry in computer certain symbols or controlling signals.

The Keyboard allows to enter alphanumeric information, special controlling symbols or their combinations, edit the text and so on. In other words, keyboard is a main instrument of the interaction of the user with computer.

The Keyboard is a main peripherals. Standard keyboard has several groups or functional zones of keys:

1. Alphabetical-digital ( typewritten ) of the key ACK . Serves for entering the letters title and small, numerals, sign to punctuation special symbol. The Alphabet (83 signs) english, вернее latin letters ( a - z ), arabic numerals ( 0 - 9 ), russian letters, combined with latin in accordance with domestic standard, signs of the punctuation, special signs and gap the most long key. To this group pertains the most important key [Enter] entering, striking on which terminates each tact of the dialogue of the user with personal computer. Importance of this key greatly broader, than simply translation of the carriage beside typewriter.
2. Two official keys, changing code and importance other pressed keys, and executing some other actions [Ctrl] контрл, [Alt] alto, as a matter of convenience are in the same way enclosed in group typewritten. These keys dubbed on the right and on the left.
3. The Softkeys, executing in accordance with name to different functions depending on used program. These keys are numbered from [F1] before [F12]. Itself they do not carry no functional load, but but then any applied program can use them at own discretion. Exists the formal agreement that on key F1 usually is fixed calling the reference, but on key F10 output from program.
4. The Group from poles sulphur keys [Insert] insertion, [Delete] removing, [Nome] beginning, [End] end, [Page Up] page upwards, [Page Down] page downwards, are intended basically for work with text program.
5. The Keys of control cursor navigational keys or simply arrows . They are intended for governing position cursor on screen and are a main key, used in playing program.
6. The Digital keys ( калькуляторные ) located in right part of keyboard, intended for set of digital information. Unlike the fourth row of the alphanumeric keyboard, they easy allow to provide blind set of the numerals. The Keystroke [Num Lock] lock of the digital keys, is changed on importance of this group of the keys they become the stand-in of the previous group.
7. The most left upper key, on which is written [Esc] Escape. Most often she is used for cancelling the current mode.

With right sides of the alphanumeric keyboard is located the most main [Enter] entering, commands, taken on keyboard, are entered in computer only after striking of this key. Besides, she is used as acknowledgements [Yes - yes] in all dialogue between operator and personal computer.

Special combinations of the keys

Several combinations of the keys on keyboard of the personal computer have a special sense. We shall Enumerate them:

• CTRL - C, or CTRL - Break is used for interruption executing program that is to say cessations of her(its) execution. This interruption is intercepted by operating system, but some program can protect itself from such interruptions.
• CTRL Num lock is used for time halt of the functioning(working) the processor of the personal computer (before striking then any keys). From operating system does not depend.
• SHIFT Prt Sc, - is used for output of the contents of the screen display on printing device (the reception hard copies of the screen); a loaded special program of the operating system must be for this.
• CTRL ALT DEL is realized rebooting the personal computer
